I also have a very limited experience with audio products so please take this review with a grain of salt.
The QoA Mimosa was lent to me as part of a review tour in the Philippines.

Impressions
- Tuning: The Mimosa is tuned to a v-shape, meaning the bass and treble are elevated more than the mids.
- Bass: The bass is deep and impactful.Bassheads will definitely enjoy this one.
- Mids: The mids are warm and clear, and sounds recessed at times. The lower mids also suffer from the bass bleeding.
- Treble: The treble region gave me the most surprise. While I have a bit of treble-sensitivity, the sparkle and energy that the Mimosa brought didn’t bother me at all. The detail retrieval in the treble is also above average.
- Technicalities: Soundstage and imaging are above average, leading to an immersive experience. Overall detail retrieval is above average, giving clarity for instruments and vocals even in busier tracks.
- Gaming: The Mimosa performs well enough when it comes to directionality and distance. It’s not the best for gaming, but it’s competent enough for me in competitive Overwatch 2 games.

Final Thoughts
The QoA Mimosa is a fun, V-shaped IEM with strong bass, sparkly treble, and solid technical performance for its price. While the mids take a slight step back, it’s still a great pick for casual listening and bass-heavy tracks under $100.
